Take the cable car up, if you don’t want a long uphill walk. The fort itself is impressive, but the real reason to visit is for the Homeland War museum, describing the civil war in former Yugoslavia from the Croatian perspective. The defence of the...More

Hiked up and then had Lunch at the Fab Restaurant before spending lots of time at the Museum....loved the fact that some of the damage from the siege is left intact...one can get a real sense of the defenders....well worth the effort.

It worths visiting the fort to know the history of homeland war of croatia during 1991-1995. It is a great contrast to the present day prosperous and peaceful Dubrovnik.

When we went the cable car was closed. We took a taxi. The views of Old town and the Korcula island are very nice, and well worth the trip. It could be better if the local authorities made a viewing platform to make it easier...More

Amazing views, do not miss the view from the roof! (Bearing in mind it was last at war in the 90s), its very much in a bad state so be aware of what you are going up there for before you do. Lots of information...More
