Fabulous collection of very nice paintings. Original work of Raja Ravi Varma. This museum is not inside the Napier Museum. It's inside the Zoo complex. Hidden gem. Not to be missed. Very well explained by the staff. No photography allowed

Its an architectural splendor dating back to early 1900s & displays a unique collection of traditional & contemporary paintings of Raja Ravi Varma, the Roerichs, Tagore, etc. as well as some Chinese, Japanese & Balinese paintings.
A separate ticket has to be taken to enter the Art Gallery. Photography is not allowed, nor touching any paintings. Security guards act as a guide to describe every detail about the picture if you show interest.
