- KeiiBali, Indonesia2 contributionsThis monument is giving a soothing feelings.I would say this monument has a historical value due to the Bali Bombings tragedy that happens in 2002. Reminiscing that time I'm still 4th y.o watching the news on TV and feeling terrified. May their soul rest in peace.Visited March 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 25 March 2023
- Miriam H2 contributionsGreat nightLovely memorial very touching great when the lights came on. I had a lovely tea at ground zero across the road and spoke to people who were there the night of the bombing. Watch out for scammers trying to sell their wares at expensive prices. Glad I made the effort to go from Seminyak to view the memorialVisited May 2023Travelled soloWritten 31 May 2023

The Monument is a permanent reminder of the tragedies past and offers a symbol of hope and respect for future generations. Like all buildings and structures on going maintenance is required, this is no different to the Ground Zero Monument There is work required to repair some of the Stainless Steel fittings. There are paving stones and paving tiles that require replacing. The Memorial water feature along with the entire paving requires cleaning. The Monument is a sacred site, one where visitors from all over the world come to pay their respects. I hope those who are charged with the care and maintenance of this Monument see this post and act accordingly Those who lost their lives along with their families and friends deserve this.Visited February 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 19 February 2024

Visited at mid day so can’t comment on the extent of the lighting that others have mentioned. Quite a bit of litter within the monument area itself. A litter bin nearby would be useful. Question? What sort of morons would drop litter around the monument. Disgraceful.🙄
The actual site of the Sari club is directly opposite partially surrounded by solid wooden fencing but you can look inside easily. The site has been completely cleared and no evidence remains of the building that once stood there.

We walked from the Padma in Legian arriving around 7.30am. Very Quiet- were the only visitors. So poignant to stand there and look back across the road to where the Sari Club once stood- that site has now been transformed into another Dance Club but if you wander down the lane to the left there’s still evidence of the extent of the damage. An important reminder to everyone that Life can change in a Heartbeat!

Pickpockets and scammers everywhere.
I went to pay my respects and spent my entire time there defending my possessions.

Looks beautiful lit up at night and to stand and read the board of names of people tragically lost is a very surreal experience. With the water fountain and place for people to leave flowers it offers us all a place to visit and remember people who went for a holiday and sadly lost their lives in paradise.
It’s good to see such a large monument reminding us all how fragile life can be.

The Ground Zero Monument is a solemn place to commemorate those who lost their lives in the 2002 bombing. The names (and their countries) of those who perished are inscribed. When I saw what happened decades ago on the news, I was shocked. It's a reminder of the fragility of our lives.

The monument site is still well maintained and rubbish free. Large contingent of tourists paying respects on the day we visited. Sombre gathering.
