Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I was excited to go here and went during the day. Yes, there are live seafood here.
But to my amazement, entire wet market is filthy and reeks of garbage and rotting seafood. I couldn’t get past the presence of filth and bad stench, and I quickly left. Are there food safety and sanitation inspectors in this place? How does this tourist stop get away with this dump?

It’s a ripoff here, always. The staff alone will make you feel creeped out and all they cook is slathered with margarine. It feels awkward with the characters that comprise the staff all around.

Family of 4, total bill of 8k pesos which is approx. $150us. Not worth it at all.
We ordered crab. They asked us which one, we told them one big crab. Instead they gave us 2 crabs. It was already on our table so we didn’t argue. We also ordered sweet and sour fish, shell soup and squid. The price on their menu is actually just for cooking fee. We were not aware of that nor was it said anywhere else. Imagine, we paid approx 1900pesos just for cooking fee. That’s $38us. Market price for their seafood was 6k pesos. That’s approx. $110us. If the food tasted extra ordinary then yes, we wouldn’t mind paying that much. However, it was just a simple seafood cooking. Albeit it is fresh. Still not worth it for us. For the price we paid here for 4 people, we could have gone to a luxury hotel buffet for 2k per person.
We were really caught by surprised and unprepared for this experience. The hype of this place is truly not for us. We are a foodie family who will pay good money for worthy food experience. This definitely is not one of them.
I wondered how many people were misled by their menu prices. Or maybe we just weren’t aware nor educated on their style as it is after all our first time. This will also be our last.

A restaurant where you can have a good view of the sea. Had excellent home-made type Filipino cuisine.
We went here for lunch. One drawback was there tried to step on the food, which we were trying to drive away.

Hi guys! Whats the best restaurant here jn dampa? The most delicious and affordable price please and also the wet market should we buy our own seafoods or just order at the restaurant?

You're better off buying your own seafoods or if you don't have the time, the wet market near HongKong Master Cook have cheaper prices than the market in front of Super Wok, etc.
As for the restaurants, you might want to try Super Wok for the crab sotanghon (vermecelli noodles) and HK Master Cook. You can tell if the restaurant's popular from the people eating inside - if there's a lot of Chinese eating, chances are the food there is great.
Avoid Aling Keng's paluto at all costs - the waiters and the even the manager are a bunch of swindlers.
