Apparently the city’s experiment with urban renewal fell short. Money was spent developing great beach clubs, but the neighborhood never improved. It quickly becomes dangerous as you move away from the upscale clubs. Beware, especially at night.
We went to the Praia de Futuro the first day after arriving in Fortaleza. The beach has a lot of sales people constantly offering different types of products, however it is a nice beach with many beack kiosk to stay all day!
The bars/restaurants are called “barracas”, and there are several of them. Beautiful beach to walk, ocean can get a little rough/waves, a nice place to hang out for a couple hours. Rent a lounge beach chair pretty much anywhere for R$10.
We uber-ed from our hotel by Beira Mar to here(Praia de Futuro). It was about a 15min traffic with some traffic.
Crystal clear beaches. I think all beaches in Brazil are just absolutely amazing.
There are many beach tables. Just find any available...More
If you stay at the norh of brazil, you don't spend time in this beach. We was planning to spend 1 week there and after 2 days we leave the place and went to Jericoacoara. It;s not a good plate to rest in your hollidays!
I stared my day in Fortaleza at the beach futuro. The beach was good but nothing special.
I didnt like all the sellers. Something they were almost standing in a row to sell massage, sunglasses, icecream etc.
