This is a high end winery for sure. Service was great and the wines were very good. Prices were high - we paid usd 75 for a flight of 3 sample wines.

Visited The Opus in the beginning of August. Even though the winery is going through some renovations, it did not limit our tasting experience in any way. After two hours in traffic driving from San Francisco, getting out of the car at Opus One vineyard...More

The beautiful building on their website is closed for renovations, so we were hosted at bistro tables and vinyl seats in a large, partially air conditioned “tent.” We had three pours for $75. This was a far cry from the delightful mountainside Shafer vineyard we...More

Spectacular property. Very upscale, both in structure, as well as the wines. Great terrace level to drink, relax, and enjoy the views of the valley. The wine is certainly a “special occasion” wine ($350 bottle, $65 per glass), but boy is it great wine.
