Locals like to tell the story of Ronnie’s Shop, which Ronnie was fixing up to be a farm stand. During construction Ronnie’s friends played a prank on him by painting the word "sex" on his sign. Instead of a farm stand, he left the sign as it was and...more

Don't miss a short brack on the long way from Hermanus/ Cape Town to Hudtshoorn. Have a drink, and enjoy the nice place and people that look like bikers bar from the movies.

Stop for the mandatory photo! But don't go without an adult milkshake ☝️ and a burger! The milkshakes might be just one of the best we have ever had! 😱 (Peanut butter and jack!) Bring a pen, maybe a panty/ bra 👙 if you are...More

World famous feature of Route 62 is an ideally located pit stop. Only had drinks.. coffees and milkshakes so can't comment on the food, but what we had was okay. The place itself is very basic, no frills, and having originated from a practical joke, is...More

A very rustic place, a real oasis in the semi desert. The milkshakes are superb, with some very interesting combinations. In the bar a very uninhibited vibe. Well worth a stop.

Reading people pan this place is a real head shaker for me. Is it the Ritz? Of course not. But if you are in the middle of nowhere, this place is great for a beer or two and some smart ass commentary from Ronnie himself,...More

After many years, we eventually decided to stop. It doesn’t really offer much. A bar, with lots of kitch memorabilia and graffiti, and a simple eatery. Service was sullen, but the milkshakes were good.

Aside from the name and noteriety of this being a must stop, in reality it's a dive bar of dubious merit. Not really anything worth stopping for aside to say you have been there and taken the obligatory picture of the sign.

Very strange stop. Very little to choose from food and drink wise. Expensive and tiny G&T’s in small glasses. I had to ask for a slice of lemon. I guess the sign is interesting but so much more could be done with a place that’s...More

Hi Hannah O, unfortunately they do not offer accommodation. Your best bet is to stay in a nice B&B in Barrydale. Barrydale is a nice artistic town with good accommodation and restaurants.
