Definitely worth the short detour from the road. Well written information boards and raised boardwalk let's you see the stromatolites close up. You can see tiny bubbles coming off the submerged areas if you look closely. Be warned though that if you wanted to see...More

This was another amazing place to visit, with the living Stromatolites that are quite unique. There's a boardwalk there, so no need to get your feet wet.

This is a spectacular location. These naturally formed stromatolites are amazing. The water is so clear it looks like the fish are floating in air.

Evolutionary biologists, scientists this place is amazing. We were there at low tide and had excellent views but only needed 15 minutes there. Kids underwhelmed but it really is a fascinating place.

We saw these formations over 35 years ago and were pleased to see them again from the excellent vantage point of the triangular boardwalk. Plenty of information boards to explain rhe stromatolites. Once the strip of sand is negotiated, the boardwalk is easygoing.

These are amazing - early forms of life. They are so close and easy to observe. They have built columns and are above the tide some of the time

Stromatolites are only found in two places on the planet and we were lucky enough to see these and learn about them from the information boards, as we walked around the boardwalk. Located at Hamlin Pools. Worth a visit!

Easy access to the board walk to take in natures best. A short walk along a guided trail also gives insight into the history of the area. Thoroughly enjoyable
