We stopped in the Mint Museum on our girls trip (we're from Chicago area). We spent about 90 minutes perusing the gallery. Some of the art was so unique, such as the light exhibit that had dandelions.

We were so impressed by this museum and next door at the Bechtler Museum. Both these museums had a lovely collection of unusual art. We have gone to many museums in our lifetime, yet what we saw here was impressive. Make time to enjoy the...More

Was part of a business excursion and we weren't given enough time to see everything. What we did get to see was wonderful.

A nice sample of different periods Modern Art. A little bit for everyone and not overwhelmingly large, so it can be seen in 2 hours. Affordable visit and 1/3 discount for Seniors.

I stopped by the Mint Museum Uptown on a hot Saturday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised that it was not crowded. The very modern exterior lured me in to the building. The museum is beautifully curated with diverse and interesting modern art. There are some...More

My son and I visited the Mint on a recent trip to Charlotte. Charmed by the massive yet beautiful outside, we were treated to a truly exciting and compelling collection. We loved the American art, with sprinkles of costumes and sculpture, going from early America...More

My husband and I went to Mint museum uptown on a Saturday afternoon, but it wasn’t that busy. We received discount on our admission since we visited Bechtler museum prior to this visit.

This museum has modern to classical. Not much for young children to do. It is small. Everyone that worked there was friendly and would answer any questions you have. I mean any, we asked about a glass art piece and then on the way out...More

There's underground parking at the building next door (Levine Centre for the Arts) I believe the entrance to the parking is on W. Stonewall St. It's $3.00 per half hour during the day, $5 after 5pm.
