Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stopped by the bar. The views from the upstairs patio are great. Shout out Austin who works there! If you are looking for a place to see while visiting Boston, this area is lovely!

Beacon Hill is a beautiful neighbourhood, fully of photogenic streets. We enjoyed a walk around and a coffee at Tatte bakery before continuing on the Freedom Trail.

In my opinion, if you go to Boston and don't walk through Beacon Hill, you're really missing out. The brownstones are beautiful. Don't miss Acorn Street's cobblestones - very picturesque. We had dinner at 75 Chestnut and it was very good. Lots of history here and the Cheers bar is nearby for fans of the TV show.

Both the Statehouse and this section of the City is absolutely beautiful. Very clean and brimming with beautiful architecture, flowers and window planters, this is a wonderful walk through one of Boston’s storied neighborhoods.

Nice style, oldy worldy, lots of small independent shops and cafes that bring it it's charm, well worth a slow walk around.

My wife and I visited Beacon Hill for a Black History Tour while in Boston. Our National Park’s ranger was well educated on the subject and informed us on many facts about black culture life in Boston around the time of the civil war. Saw some of the early black leaders as well as site of one of the first public education schools in Boston. Thanks for letting us be a part of this informative experience.

Can you get an Uber from the airport? How much is a taxi from BOS airport to downtown?

Sure you can get an Ãœber. We took a cab and it was 18 USD as I recall. So an Uber is always cheaper

We have 1 hour to visit the Beacon Hill area before we head to the airport. What streets should we walk?

Either start or finish at The Liberty Hotel on Charles Street (at the beginning of the Longfellow Bridge, where the Charles / MGH T station is). It is a luxury hotel set in a converted jail, where many of the features have been carefully preserved. The main feature being a soaring 90foot ceiling in the Atrium and the cell catwalks and wrought-iron work from its 1850's construction. It's 3 minutes' walk from the Charles River Esplanade, and 4 minutes from Beacon Hill's boutique shops and restaurants on Charles Street. If you have time, detour up to Acorn Street for a bit of cobble-stoned history.

Boston is a very walkable city. You can either walk there and experience some of the Freedom Trail, or you can catch an uber. Depends on your level of fitness and whether you will have all your suitcases with you.

I lived in Beacon Hill for three years! The best way to get there is to take the Red Line (going to Alewife) to Charles MGH 'T' stop. Go out of the station and walk onto Charles Street. Beacon Hill is on the left. It is an area with lots of picturesque streets leading uphill from Charles Street.
You could get off the Red Line at Park Street 'T' and walk across Boston Common to Charles Street in which case all the picturesque streets would be on your right but it is quite easy to go the wrong way across the Common!!
