We choose to go our own way instead of hiring a guide at the information centre. The walk includes a number of stairs and narrow natural tunnels. There are quite some birds in this "jungle". We enjoyed the walk, the caves and the nature.

We usually take our overseas visitors to the Glow worm cave. This time we added the Aranui Cave. WOW!!! I was born 10 minutes away from this system and it has never been on my radar. It should have been. The entrance is pretty nondescript...More

I loved this cave. It's small in size but large in beauty, and the experience of being in a small group made it all the better. Our guide was Missy, and she was excellent; very informative and laid back with a lovely quiet manner. We...More

Lovely little tour. Cave was great, and the small group meant more time for interaction with the guide and exploring on your own. Very casual but very kiwi.
