Breathtaking view of Coron Town and nature around. A must see in Coron! When you climb to the top, make sure to go beyond the metal cross. The nature is incredibly beautiful.

The views are amazing but the climb can be pretty brutal in the mid-day sun. Definitely worth the effort!

If there are no clouds or no clouds in front of the sun, this place will give you an amezing sunset. We were a bit late so we had to walk the 400+ stairs quit fast. I don't recommend to go up this fast, it'll...More

A guaranteed place where everyone can go for free, very challenging stairs both going up and down but the top scenery is worth every drop of sweat.

Mt Tapyas is the very recognisable mountain located behind Coron town and highlighted by a cross which sits at it's summit. It's considered a 'must do' experience when in Coron, with most electing to climb it for sunset. As such it is littered by tourists...More

Your Coron experience is incomplete if you haven't visited Mt. Tapyas. It offers a 180 degrees view of Coron Town and the surrounding gorgeous islets. I think it's at least 700 steps going up and it is something you have to not give up on...More

I was told it took 747 steps to the top. I wasn’t counting. I took several short stops along the way . Most tourists go a few hour prior to sunset to admire the awesome sunset. I went early morning (much cooler). Great hike ....More

From our hotel (Coron Bayside), we took a tricycle to go Mt. Tapyas. And though I didn’t make it to the summit (700+ steps!!!), it was a nice experience climbing up going to Mt. Tapyas. Going up was a bit hard for me (for lack...More

Needed a good exercise from all the eating during this trip. Hehe. So we ran from our Hotel (The Palladium Hotel) and then ran up the steps; taking us about 12 mins going up (with little to no rest/stopovers). We suggest you go up in...More

No entrance fee and it's totally open to public. Time to climb up really depends on how fast and steady your pace is. It took me around 20 minutes to reach the view deck as i made a lot of stops on my way up. Make sure to... More

Hi Liane...yes it would be a good idea for you to use a mosquito repellant considering you'll be climbing up a mountain with lots of plants around. Nothing to lose by being prepared and protected!
