Worth a visit especially the oldest building of he monastery complex. Beautiful wood work and Buddha statues. You can feel the centuries in this building that survived earthquakes and other disasters. Monks are super friendly and happy to show you around. Walk down towards back...More

Of course this is a place to visit, but if you go up to Mustang you will see monasteries with more authentic background. If you go down to Jomson, then not miss this place. . .

This small monastery and school is on the north side of town and worth a stop for 30-45 minutes. The entrance fee is about $2. Photos are not allowed in the monastery. It's inexpensive and worth a stop as you're walking around town.
