Visited this park on a whim. It's an all day affair, and well worth the admission. Try going in the fall when the plants are at their peak reddish color. The colors are very surreal. I'll return this year. Depending on where you live in...More
Dare I say! OMG the carpets of nemophila are breathtaking!
You can take a little train up to it and through the whole park ,Y600, if you don't feel like walking. It does take 15 minutes or so to walk from the entrance to the...More
Takes a bit of a walk to get to the hilltop garden (Miharashi Hill) as it is situated quite deep in the park. The red kokia bushes were absolutely stunning this season (Went there mid-October.. so.. Autumn?) but apparently the nemophilas are even more beautiful...More
We went there in the peak of the Nemophila blue flowers. Trust me, the spread of these flowers along the small mountain gives a picturesque view which is second to non. It is unbelievable that the area was overflowing with visitors.

Helo there. There’s a flower season schedule on their official website. In december, there are few kinds of flowers. The main event in december will be the illumination show. It’s open from the end of oct to the beginning of february. It has received the best illumination show in japan for 3 straight years, so, yes, really worth it even in december. Hope this helps🙏🏻

Unfortunately for Hitachi Seaside Park won't have much flowers at the time when you arrive, but if you still have time, probably around mid August, there is Sun flower, Zinnia and Kochia green. This unique Kochia bush will turn yellow and red around September to October. Try Google flowers in Japan, you may find some park with certain flowers blooming in July.
