Absolutely...a must! Do you want to try the sensation of flying like a bird? Try it! it is a double flight, one part seems faster than the other because you are closer to the ground, so, better to try both!

As we were staying overnight in Castelmezzano we felt we had to do the flight. No problem getting tickets from the office in the village, even in August. We opted for the tandem flight. You can take a small bag providing the combined weight limit of 150kg. is not exceeded. Short minibus trip to the start of the walk. This took 35 mins to reach the start point and was very hot. You can hire go pro cameras from here at €20. 1st flight very scary but amazing once flying. Remember to smile for the camera as you approach the landing at Pietrapertosa. You'll be offered a digital pic for €5 or 5 for €8. Emailed directly to you then. Another short minibus trip to the village then a 10 mins walk to the return station. 2nd flight takes you back to the road above Castelmezzano where a 3rd trip in the minibus returns you to the start point in the village. Free parking available in the road, the traffic marshalls will advise you. Whole experience took around 2 hours but we did stop to take pics and watch the flights. Good value at £67 for 2 people.…

I didn't like the information that was sent to us by the company/administration. Because there was also the adress where their business is officially registered. We weren't sure if that's the ticket office where we should go first. So NO, you should go to that village from where you booked the flight take-off. We booked from Castalmezzano. As soon as you enter the village by car, you immediately see the touristoffice and people working there tell you where you can park (paid parking immediately to the right of the tourostoffice, or you park somewhere near the street for free). Then you can walk back to the touristoffice, where you can also use a toilet (clean and for free, but no paper/soap there) and then they give you a map of the village and show you on it where the ticketoffice is and then you can walk to there, which takes about 8 min. In the ticketoffice you tell your name if you have like us already bought a ticket online. Then you step on scales and they check your weight. We had a tandem flight and together including bag/backpack (yes you can take them) we cannot weight more than 150 kg. Then you receive the ticket. Then you walk back to the touristoffice. From there a shuttlebus picks you up and drives you to somewhere. From there you still have to walk to the take-off station, about 20 min. Normal sneakers are enough, the road is plated (see picture). Because of this procedure of walking here and there I guess that's why the time of your flight is a 1 hour time window, as mentioned in all the reviews. So if you arrive at the booked time in the village, you still manage to be at the take-off station in time. We personally did not have any problems with timing, we also were late, no problem, no one checke the time on our ticket, and there were only 3 people flying before us. One more thing to mention: near the touristoffice in Castalmezzano we saw a restaurant that was open even during the lunch time. I think in general it's a good time to go there either in the morning or evening, and use the usual dead lunch break to drive to there or back. Over all we really enjoyed this experience, the beautiful villages and mountains. …

I've wanted to do this for years and I was not disappointed. It's quite a walk in the heat, from where the bus drops you to where you take off. You may want to take some water and food with you as you may have a wait before take-off. After a little nervousness hanging in harness before being released on the first zip-wire, I flew over a rocky outcrop and then the ground drops away and I flew high above the valley - wow what an exhilarating feeling. The view around is amazing if you can lift your head to look around. A series of photos are taken as you come to the end of the first zip-line. If you want a good photo this is the place to buy one as you won't get the chance later. Climb up to the road where a bus takes you to the village where you get the next zip-line. I would definitely recommend this experience. …
