Park by the Old Sawmill Tearooms. Lovely walk through the woods to the viewing stations. Majestic Ospreys, Red Squirrels and a chorus of songbirds. Cannotbeatit.

A lovely stretch of water. To many access points to mention, but Mirehouse and gardens are worth a special mention.

Drive down & walk to St Begas church. So chilled & pretty. You have to park & walk 3/4 mile to lakeshore

We drove round the Lake as well as taking a stroll. The views are fabulous and on a clear day, Scafell Pike could be seen. We were lucky with the weather as we had no rain during the day.

Hello, I'm sorry you have been misinformed, we didn't cycle round Bassenthwaite lake. Just had a brilliant stay at the Armathwaite Hall Hotel.
