Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We booked a sunrise tour for the dunes which included a stop at the fishing village.
I honestly dont know why people and travel guides recommend coming here.
Maybe you get more appreciation for thr hotel? My best guess.

This is a part of life in Mui Ne and worth a quick visit. We didn’t go right down as it was quite sunny and was beginning to get hot. But still fascinating to see the number of boats in the harbour ready for the day.
You also spot the small round boats ready to take people to the bigger boats.

Really what you are stopping here for is to take photos. It makes a beautiful backdrop taken from the wall. I walked down to the waterside and it’s filthy with rubbish.
That being said you don’t really notice it from the roadside.
The sea is just filled with brightly coloured boats and their traditional coconut fishing boats.
It’s worth a quick stop

For an authentic Vietnamese fishing village experience, this is really a *must see* place as apparently almost nothing here, for as far as i could see (except possibly for some hotels and restaurants in this whole area) is especially *made* for tourists. We actually spent a most lovely afternoon here and in the Mui Ne village, just before the harbour and ended our visit with a most delicious and actually quite budget-priced early seafood dinner!. I hope to make a return soon, in the early morning, when i could probably make some better photos of the many fishing boats here, hopefully!✌✌

How can people complain about it smelling - it's a fishing port and sorting market for goodness sake, it's not going to smell like roses. A wonderfully authentic piece of Vietnam where a huge amount of small fish are unloaded for the nuoc mam makers. Great photo opportunity and an opportunity to see what they do rather than pandering to tourists.

It could be even a nice place if only people or the government organize proper campaign about the importance of environment and to educate people about the cause of the rubbish abandoned on the nature.

Двухдневная экскурсия 320$ на двоих. Организована хорошо, отель в Сайгоне приличный. От Корал Тревел.

The fishermen themselves don't. However all the restaurants on the seafront cook the fresh fish and seafood. You'll notice that the restaurants on the waters edge have "bo ke" in the title. This I've been told by a local means "sea defence". There is a man made wall, in the sea and a lot of restaurants are gathered set slightly back from this. They have live food in tanks and typically cook them on open coals giving them a great flavour. At my time of visit I ordered a kilo of scallops cooked in their shell above the coals with a spoon of garlic butter in each. They were delicious and only cost$2.
Something to look out for. Sometimes the restaurants over order the fish and you might see fish etc close to the end of their lives. The restaurant will want to get rid of this first. So when you pick a nice fresh one, when you've sat down they might change for an old, dying one. If in doubt ask to watch the fish being cooked. Make out you want to take a photo or something.
I personally never had problems with this but have been told it happens.
