Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Only 3 miles from me and it is great to go there early on a summers evening with friends or family for the great pizza and atmosphere. Lots of locals come here and it is very friendly. Often there are bands on in the courtyard. This place is not open late.

Hi Tahita Thanks for reviewing us and helping others to pick us out! We do strive to be a family friendly place, even if we are a brewery and we are really pleased you had a great time when you were here last. Keep you eye on our Facebook Page where we will post updates on future music and food events throughout the year. Our opening hours reflect our sensitivity to the local village that already has two pubs - we are open until 8pm Mon-Saturday and until 4pm on Sundays which is perfect to enjoy a few drinks without affecting other local businesses. We look forward to seeing you again very soon! All the Best Lyall & Team Sixpenny Brewery

Fantastic location with even better beer. Came back from Australia to see family and made it a must to visit this brewery and it did not disappoint! Couldn’t think of a better spot for knock-off beers on Friday. Might even have to make it back there today!!

Can't beat a cold one on a hot day, eh? Thanks for your review - we do try our best, and when we know we've got it right, it's very rewarding - especially when it's from someone from the other side of the world! Glad you could pay us a visit, and hope you do make it back for round 2!

Don't get to the Tap Room very often now, having moved to Dorch. a while back. But was back there on Saturday, enjoying the delights of the IPA. Of course I got some takeaways. There was an unopened two pint bottle left that I opened and consumed a short while ago (i.e. 5 days old). Still tasted delicious. You won't get a cleaner fresher pint than Sixpenny. Well done guys!!

What a great place this is. A lovely little pub/bar that has all sorts of quirky memorabilia here and there - a real conversation starter. And even better, it's a brewery too! Very tasty beer indeed. Nice sunny courtyard if the sun has got it's hat on. It's a little off the beaten track, easy to find though just keep an eye out for the sign on the main road. We will definitely be back with friends, maybe for one of the music nights. Thank you.

Having seen the review in the Daily Mail for the pub and staying nearby for the weekend we went for a couple of pints and found the most fantastic pub right in the yard of a working farm. The beer was great and the owner challenged a customer to Sing For His Beer. The customer from Poole about 20 / 30 miles away agreed to sing and the whole place stopped to listen. Bye the way the Pub is the smallest in the Country and most people have to stand outside but the atmosphere was great a real British experience.

Picked up a 4 pinter of Cranborne Chaser for £10 on a Monday between 5pm and 6pm - a very tasty drink indeed. Between us, it went down too nicely so should have bought 8 pints!

Hi Gralor69 Kind review - thank you. Making this place feel like a proper, old world pub is exactly hat we had in mind so we are really glad you feel that way. Also great to hear you like the beers as much as we like brewing them. Hope to see you again soon All the best The Sixpenny Brewery Team

This is a great place for picking up a good selection of beers to take away, or have a quick one. It shows how good it is as it is always packed.

As a previous reviewer has commented it is a shame it's not open for longer.

Glad you like what we do. As I mentioned to the last reviewer, the hours will be much longer, and for 5-6 days per week, once we open our new bar and shop in Cranborne. That's probably going to be early September, and our new hours will be on Tripadvisor as soon as we know them. Cheers.

A rare visit from "up north" to Cranborne, to start a walking holiday, we had half a day to acclimatise (!) and chose to have a little amble to this brewery! It turned out to be an experience not to be missed and, be warned, consumed twice as much as we intended! Beer and banter excellent and loved the odd intrusion from the possessed radio and other pub clutter! Watch out for the banned word of the day, plus list of unpopular beverages!! Mecca!

Thanks for your generous comments - and I'm glad our Southern beer seems to have compared well against your Northern pints! Hopefully we'll see you again when you are next on your rambles!
