An excellent statue of a brilliant man, brought back many memories, mostly good, some not so good, but to have him looking over his homeland must be very satisfying for his family

HERO is somewhat under-rating David Stirling. Against all the odds , including the British Government and War Office Staff, he was the instrument that brought into being the now formidable Regiment we call the SAS. The 'Originals' well be forever remembered.

Worth a visit as it’s a very good statue in a fluid style. There’s some information on this interesting character and hero. The monument is in lovely countryside with wonderful views.

Views on a clear day are incredible. Parking free. Could do with a couple of proper benches with back support to sit on if you wanted to sit outside instead of in your car.

The David Stirling Memorial on "Hill o' Row" near Doune commemorates the founder of the SAS in a beautiful setting. There is a small car park. Well worth a visit to recognize this founder of the SAS. Beautiful setting.

It's nothing very special, but the country side is lovely and it's a good break from road tripping, for sure. There is nothing around it. So don't expect any food or anything close by.

A respectful memorial to a man who founded an amazing world leading and defining organisation who many owe much too.

A small monument , with attached car park. Interesting , and important to think of the brave SAS heroes, and how it all started.
