The Fiddichside was probably the best wee pub in Scotland (definitely our favourite for over ten years). BUT now closed, as landlord Joe has now sadly passed away, leaving nobody to run the pub. Enquiries to Craigellachie Village Council can glean no information on the...More

Stopped by at Fiddichside Inn for a pint and a whisky. Real good vibes, and a beautiful location. Highly recommended. The property's been in the family for nearly 100 years.

A proper countryside pub with a warm welcome from it's only landlord. Joe Brandie has been pulling pints here almost as long as I've been alive. Don't expect music, a dart board, food (apart from peanuts) or other such modern trappings. Just an honest to...More

Just visited Speyside in March 2017 as a party of 8 representing The 105 Club, a Whisky Appreciation Society. What a trip! Great scenery, hospitality and whisky, which must make special mention of the Club's two evening trips to Fiddichside Inn. It was like a...More

A great place, you just have to visit It is the most basic of places, but just what a pub should be. No jukebox, dartboard, Muzak, food , just booze and good company, what more can you want

Recently stopped by one evening for some drinks as our tour guide Garey Stewart of Guvnors Elgin recommended we go there on our way back to Elgin. We were certainly glad we stopped by. Before the 6 of us entered, Garey donned his bagpipes and...More

Just about everyone I met in my three days in Craigellachie recommended going to see Joe, he's a local legend and beyond. His bar is fantastic, very small, cosy, log fire ticking clock on the wall but most of all friendly. Locals and visitors alike...More

We visited the Fiddichside Inn on recommendation from our B&B owner and are glad that we did. The pub hasn't changed in years - it's like going back 40 years or so. Joe, the landlord has been there for something like 57 years. Don't expect...More

Joe Brandie (the owner) recently passed away. I guess the future is uncertain. Joe was landlord (with his wife alongside him) for 59 years. Very sad. She passed away about four years ago. Hopefully it’ll reopen but I hope... More
