Kassiesbaai has been renovated substantially since we visited it 8 years ago. The town has paved roads and some is still in construction. The houses are neat and fixed up but still have the fisherman's charm Very nice walk for all in the streets.

We loved walking through the town. It felt like another space and time altogether. Quaint little homes. Nothing like you see anywhere else. Clean and absolutely safe. Treat yourself to a walk in the harbour especially when the fishing boats come it. Well worth watching...More

Lovely old buildings mostly being revamped. Took me back 30+ years ago when the town of Arniston was just like this. Fantastic that the population are doing something to preserve history.

If you are wanting to visit an authentic Cape fishing village, then look no further! This is no artificial settlement built to rake in tourists, but a real working community, focussed on fishing, which has been in existence long before the word "tourism" was invented....More

I haven't stayed there. The restaurant is right next door. From the outside the quest house looks as if it will be very basic. Nice sea view small rooms (it's small house). Not sure about ablutions. This is a home stay... More
