What a great experience! Please don’t expect a typical North American “country club” style zoo. This is a non-profit animal sanctuary in Mexico. Where they can, they have posted some information on specific animals like the big cats. Food for the various species is included...More

This is a different zoo. You can see some animals up close that you would not otherwise be able to get close to, but it seems kind of cruel to keep some of those animals in those enclosures. Coolest thing was being able to feed...More

Nice place to visit, our little people had a great time. Holding the babies was a treat for them. A bit hilly so wear good shoes and bug spray is a must.

My family came to visit me for Thanksgiving. Too soon for whale watching so thought my mom, sister, niece, her husband and their three girls might like the zoo. A couple of the areas of the zoo were a little rough on my mom (90...More

Worth seeing, have been before, will go again. However, you MUST use mosquito repellent! What they call "no seeums" will get your ankles and arms and the bites are ugly, itch and don't go away for a while. My favorite part is seeing my buddy...More

We went to the zoo and they give you a bag of food and you can feed all the animals...except for the lions. We got to feed the monkeys, ducks, deer, birds, hippos, etc. We also paid extra to play with the baby tigers. This...More

The Puerto Vallarta Zoo is not really on the brochures for excursions in Puerto Vallarta, but we enjoyed it immensely. It reminded me of U.S. zoos back when I was a kid and you could still hand feed the animals specific foods. This zoo is...More
