- Chris2 contributionsNo longer a place for bargainsI've been to Bicester Village many times in the last 10 years. It's always a bit of a lottery on what's available in your favourite stores but you have to accept that. Where i struggled today was with the prices. It's not worth the trip anymore. 6 years ago i was buying Ralph Lauren Polo's for about £35. I could pick them up for £45/50 in 2020. Today they were £85 plus. T shirts at £60 when you could get them for £20 only a few years ago. It's the same in the others stores i tried. Won't be going again.Visited December 2022Travelled soloWritten 11 December 2022
- STEPHANIE BARKER5 contributionsQuite a good experienceWhen we arrived we were able to go into the village straight away shop staff were friendly and attentive. Until we went into Vivienne Westwood unfortunately there was a queue but moved along promptly. My two daughters and I went to the middle table with the most popular jewellery it seemed as it was so crowded we kept being forced to move around the table normally we wouldn’t mind this but the shop assistant was so rude and really made the experience miserable. When we got to paying she hardly spoke and and made us feel very uncomfortable. Although the gentleman and the door was very friendly. Overall it was I pleasurable experience and will be revisiting.Visited December 2022Travelled with familyWritten 12 January 2023
- GodsgloriousworldLondon, United Kingdom4,058 contributionsLovely areaLovely looking, quaint village style shops. I would love to see what it looks like at Christmas. Enjoyed walking around. Not a fan of designer goods or prices but got 2 very, very reduced pairs of shoes form Michael Kors. Had an amazing cinnamon bun from one of the stalls and an inedible meal from Farm Shop. Lots of dogs, on leads, in various shops. Big free carpark and if you park furthest away from entry and walk down the stairs you're literally at the start of the shops. All a little pricy for me but nice to look at.Visited January 2023Written 31 January 2023
- Jne1194Lincolnshire, United Kingdom43 contributionsPoor experience. All geared up for the best shopping experience of my life…. Well don’t bother. How on earth the average person can afford anything here is beyond me. I’m famous in my circle to impulse purchases… I don’t even have a mortgage to pay and I would be able to hold my head up if I purchased anything here. It would be easier to pay off 3rd world debt.Visited April 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 2 April 2023
- Peter wNewport, United Kingdom2 contributionsRippoffThe shops are fine, queues for some. Very pricey aas expected, spotlessly clean. We went to a fish and chip stall , however for four bowls of chips, three bottles of pop and a coke. I nearly had a heart attack. £48.85. I thought that maybe I had stumbled into the Ritz. Be warned. It's a blue burgertype van near the car park.Visited May 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 21 May 2023
- Paul Hicks2 contributionsThe Bullring is callingI've been many times so I know what to expect,my wife and daughter like to look at shoes and handbags and as it's close to both of their birthdays I like to treat them. Unfortunately I think it's losing it's initial purpose. You could buy a pair of shoes that were originally around £1500 for around £350-400. Now your paying £800-1000, which, coupled with the current economic climate takes it beyond the ordinary man, but maybe that's what they want to do? Probably won't go again, maybe go to the Bullring insteadVisited May 2023Travelled with familyWritten 31 May 2023
- Colin MKent, United Kingdom10 contributionsNice place if you have plenty of money to spendNice place if you have plenty of money to spend. Unfortunately, it bucketed it down when we visited and there is not much cover around from the rain if your not inside a store. It is a very busy place too with coach loads of tourists turning up every few minutes. Best time to go is as early as possible because after mid-day its ramoVisited July 2023Travelled with familyWritten 6 July 2023
- Discerning travellerLondon, United Kingdom22 contributionsNice day outThe shopping village itself is very attractive with an old world type feel. There are a lot of shops, most of which are the higher end designer brands so you get the high end feel. There is a good mix of shops, but could do with some more eateries as even midweek it was very busy. Parking is plentiful and freeVisited July 2023Written 15 July 2023
- JuniperberryChipping Norton, United Kingdom30 contributionsGet your toilets cleaned maintained and upgraded; totally disgustingExtremely expensive in most shops and a bargain here and there. Not as good as it used to be and there are issues beyond the shopping. Firstly I was absolutely disgusted by the state of the toilets ; downright dirty. Zero toilet paper in cubicles, broken taps , some units with no running water and basically very bad smell. I'm sorry but when you are running a place like Bicester Village with hundreds and hundreds of people visiting; your priority is to provide hygienic toilet facilities and that means employing enough people to clean and maintain them. The food outlets are very poor too. Expensive restaurants and on the cheaper end - Pret is so overcrowded and again quite dirty,Visited July 2023Written 15 July 2023
- Dave SmithLondon, United Kingdom192 contributionsNice place, shame about the toilets…Only visited as our original destination was closed due to bad weather, and this was on the way to where we were staying. Plenty of parking available, but with a bit of a walk to get to the shops. All the designer brands are here selling their end of line / season stock at reduced prices, but, even at reduced prices £160 for a shirt is ridiculous.. did end up buying a pair of boots at Timberland as I needed a pair and they were reasonably priced, also got a further discount as I signed up to their mailing list (and unsubscribed later!) The Bicester Village app is worth downloading as you can earn points if you intend to spend a fortune, then you get ‘free’ stuff from the other retailers. Recommend La Tua Pasta as we got some sauce, pasta and garlic butter as a freeby and it was delicious. If busy you will need to queue if you must visit Gucci or Vivienne Westwood etc. For all the big brands and overpriced nonsense, it’s a pleasant place to visit. On the downside the toilets were grim. The urinals in one were blocked to overflowing. And another was small, smelly and needed a good clean. There was soap and water, but nowhere to dry you hands.Visited July 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 30 July 2023

Visited the Bicester village shop on 13th Nov at around 6pm. I have been to this shop and spent money here many times and usually the staff are fabulous. This day however there was a very rude, agressive and short tempered supervisor/manager on shift. I asked one of the team if Alexander McQueen had a repair facility for jewellery as a bracelet I had needed some repair. The assistant called over the manager who wouldn’t let me finish a single word, kept shaking her head and saying no we don’t do that and can’t help. She then said well look if it makes you happy I’ll take your info and contact head office who will be In touch if we do anything. Taken aback by this and tired of arguing and being belittled by this woman I gave my email and left. Needless to say I’ve not heard anything and the info was likely just binned after I left. I’d suggest this person is retrained or seeks alternative employment in a role that does not require contact with the public as frankly her attitude was disgusting

We visited Bicester Village after a long time of planning to but never getting around to it!
It is a pleasant day out with some great shopping if you go with a clear idea of what you want.
Prices make this a worthwhile trip and there are some real bargains to be had especially ladies fashion and high end watches.
My only criticism is that there seemed to be a lack of comfortable indoor areas to enjoy a drink or bite to eat (it was cold and windy when we visited and this caused us to leave earlier than we maybe would have otherwise.
Did I enjoy the visit? YES.
Would I go back? Only if I was in the area

There are so so many tourists who are in awe of this place and buy anything they touch, the staffs at all the stores can afford to be rude to everyone. Condescene to the shoppers are normal behavior in this place.

The view is amazing, the many many staff very pleasant, the 3 course meal in the restaurant at lunch time was brilliant and well priced. The afternoon teas were insanely overpriced and uninspiring - lacked any excitement, interest or finesse left feeling really disappointed. Ridiculous Peter Pan theme which could so easily have been made beautiful and special but the food was basic and scruffy and price extortionate.

Great shopping at Bicester. Coach Burberry and YSL can’t fault the outlet and the service staff. However Ugg was a very different experience. My daughter bought some slippers for a gift for her dad. 10 minutes after we’d purchased them and left the store she found she had purchased the wrong size. We returned and spoke with the senior sales assistant. Rude does not begin the describe her attitude. She said she could not exchange the slippers because they were end of line and would not even let us know if they had the correct size. We asked 3 times if she would check for the correct size and we would just buy them but 3 times she said she would not. My daughter said she had not been informed at the time of the sale that she could not exchange the slippers but the sales assistant would not accept this-she said that the receipt said they would not exchange and that this covered their back. So not interested in the customer experience or that we would like to enjoy our purchase and for it to bring joy! No it was not the correct size but that didn’t matter to her-she had covered her back!! But how can the customer know this if the serving sales assistant doesn’t tell you and you receive the receipt after the purchase has been completed. Ugg your products may be good but your sales staff aren’t interested and do not care. I will never buy Ugg products again -appualing customer service!!

Having two outlet shopping centres nearby (Whiteley and Gunwharf Quays) we expected a similar sort of set-up at Bicester Village. How wrong we were! All the shops were top designer outlets such as Prada, Armani, Ralph Lauren, Hugo Boss etc. We laughed at a lot of the prices - way out reach for ordinary folk (teachers) like my wife and I. Some shops had queues to get in and one store was turning people away as they hadn't joined a digital queue online!!!
The best part was chatting to the staff in some of the shops. They were pleasant, ordinary down to earth people who were happy to welcome anyone in their shops. We had some lovely conversations. We gathered that the Village was aimed at very rich people passing through on their way to the airport. Hmmh - that made total sense!
I don't think we'll be going back.

Bicester Village is one of my favourite places to go it has come a tradition for me to go with my dad on the 23rd of December every year to collect last minute Christmas presents and also in February half term to go up with my friends for a birthday day out. I love the feel and vibe of the place with it being reasonably quite and nice people about. The shops of course are the main thing there offering a wide range of shops and I like how it just isn’t all the expensive shops and they have shops that are very main brand and accessible for everyone which is nice. The food selections are great from Asian to Italian with a wide range of variety food pop ups like the Ralph Lauren coffee bus and the macrons pop up. All in all it just is such a nice place to spend the day and get away from everything. All the times I’ve been there have been enjoyable and I’m excited to head back there for the best time of the year.

It is a very limited store with very limited sizes. Both times I have been (Jan 2019 and 2020) there were only one size in each trainer and I have never seen the triple s trainer there.

Hi Jake, I 100% agree with you about Ralph Lauren's store at Bicester. To be honest it is always packed in their new there. But, as you say, they've done a deal with Primark, haha. I'm given to understand that all the stuff in there is made for the outlets and, people who have no concept of quality clothing don't see past the label! Have you ever considered Brooks Brothers at Bicester? They have only quality clothing, I'm a convert from RL. I use their stores in the US. I admit they do produce for the outlets but it's top quality. The only way to tell their main store stuff is very slightly different label. Ask me more about them if you're interested.
