Really not sure what’s happened to the cafe. There seems to have been a change in personnel - unfortunately this is for the worse. Ordering takes an inordinate amount of time and is very frustrating. On a recent visit it took 15 minutes to order....More
Attended a Vineyard tour on a lovely sunny Sunday afternoon. We so surprised that in the gardens was a vineyard producing some lovely English wines. Kieron who conducted the tour and talked about the wine etc was clearly very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and passionate with his...More
Lovely day out. The gardens are immaculate and extensive and the guided tour of the hall is excellent. It is still a family home so you need to book for the hall tour. Gardens are wheelchair and buggy accessible. Everything if very well organised and...More

Beautiful place, very old and historic
Very clean, helpful staff.
We also attended the food and drink festival whilst we were there and there was lots of different stalls like fudge stand, gin stand, crafts, chocolate etc

Yes, grounds are generally very easy access. I had just had a heart operation so did not want steep hills and I found the paths very easy going. There are more challenging steep slopes which are best avoided but the choices is yours. The cafe was really excellent and family friendly. Look out for the noughts and crosses games in the courtyard!!
