Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

After seeing the pandas, I decided to walk back via the trail which is quite easy to find after a short walk on the road from the panda base. It's not a true nature hike, as the path is almost entirely in concrete. Nevertheless, the weather was a cooling low 20's C and there was no crowd.

We decided to connect panda zoo visit with canyon hike. Admission 118 RMB - quite pricey. But we really liked it! First, take a bus to panda zoo. After you finish visit, return back to zoo gate, go left, pass some houses, let check your ticket and you are on the top of canyon. It starts with a small artificial pool and stream continues through rocks. You can admire magnificent waterfall, tombs, bridges, pools ... It is not a long walk, about 7 km but take it better slowly (3-4 hours). End of the hike is a tall lift taking you back to visitor centre

The 1 hour walk was amazing. There were numerous waterfalls, rock ledges and scenery was beautiful.
Surprisingly it was not a difficult walk that we has expected.

Picturesque and an easy decent down lots
Of steps into the canyon, very pretty
Indeed and can be combined with a trip to the Bifengxia Panda reserve. Allow at least 3 hours for a leisurely decent

We loved it, a magnificent 90 minute to 2 hour walk with lots of water, waterfalls, pools hanging coffins, huge cliffs and green vegetation.
Do it later in the day after taking the free bus and visiting the Pandas first. It will be almost all the way downhill from the base (the uphill is sometimes quite steep) and also the later in the day you walk , the fewer people you will encounter.
Do not miss it!

This hike is well worth any ones time, I was really impressed at the amount of workmanship that went in to making all of the steps. The paths are well suited to any one even older people. Along the way you get to see some great waterfalls and there are many stalls with food and water, some souvenir too. At the end of the hike there is a small area of stalls/shops and an elevator which takes you right back to the car park.

Since you're in the area already, might as well walk through this canyon because there is nothing else better to do in this area except for the Panda. The walk is not natural trekking, as with most Chinese attractions, takes about 3 hours and very enjoyable once you get passed the first half an hour. Some of waterfalls are very pretty and the fee is included in the ticket price with Panda Reserve (180Y)

The scenic spots was not fantastic. Although there are a few spots like the waterfall or lake, but it wasn't what I was expecting. The panda base is more worthwhile if you are in that area.

The scenery at the gorge is fantastic. The walk is fairly easy, downhill all the way through a gorge dotted with streams and waterfalls. There is a waterfall at the end of the walk which is truly breathtaking. A relaxing way to end a day after visiting pandas.

Very steep gorge (side to side) that you can take an elevator to the bottom and walk out without difficulty (minor fitness required). There were some steeper, narrow sections but really was on a well maintained trail. The temple at the end was interesting. I'd not like to do it in the rain.
