Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

How disgusting to treat innocent creatures this way. You should all suffer greatly for what you have done!! You are DISGUSTING! PATHETIC!

If we leave a child in a car unattended or just leave them at a park because we don’t want them - we would be arrested. But if we do the same to defenseless animals we get nothing. The moment this came about those student government officials should have had those animals out of the park and back to their habitat. You sick Japan!!!!

To keep dolphins in a small pool is cruel. Their home is in the ocean where they can swim miles every day with their pod. Captivity drives the Taiji dolphin hunts. Please watch The Cove and Blackfish. I would never visit here where prisoners are suffering - dolphins are intelligent, feel compassion, love and grieve. Their smile is fixed. They suffer a lifetime for your holiday. Shame on you.

Today after learning about how these dolphins are taken out of the vast open ocean i decided to take a trip. I noticed 3 dolphins scared up and suffering in very small confinement. Its sad these dolphins are caught for solicitation and housed in very small confinements. The holding pens are so small the animals were not even swimming. Im sick!

Driving through this beautiful coastal area (after looking at the nearby lighthouse), on our recent visit to Japan, my husband & I kept seeing dolphin signs & symbols everywhere, then stumbled across this big, pink "park." We weren't sure what to think, so we decided to take a look. What we saw was a very run down looking marine "aquarium" facility & three bottlenose dolphins doing tricks, in a small pool, filled with dirty looking water. Four visitors looked on clapping & we could not help but feel sorry for these beautiful, highly intelligent mammals, swimming around in a tiny swimming pool, for tourist dollars. Suffice it to say, we would never return, never plan go to any place like it again & left feeling incredibly sad for all the animals "living" there.

Marine mammals suffer in captivity. They should be free. Please do not support cruelty by paying to see them!

Although the staff are very pleasant my heart sake when I seen the conditions the Dolphins were being forced to live in. Not only was the water green in color, it was cloudy as well. I am not sure what the regulation are or who enforces regulations for their living environment but if they rate this facility as acceptable living quarters, the regulations need to be changed! These conditions make me sad

I'm disgusted by the captivity of these beautiful animals. They will have been driven in from out at sea with their pods, seen many of them slaughtered in front of them and then forced into venues like this.
These dolphins will have been caught in Taiji, ask yourself how they got there. Then ask yourself what kind of life they live stuck in a tiny tank.
These animals should be swimming wild, not swimming in disgusting water no bigger than a bath tub for people's amusement.
These animals will be suffering from depression and trauma, they won't live long because of these conditions.
Go and see them in the wild! The longer places like this stay open, the more cruelty and abuse will take place!
The whole venue is in disrepair, please avoid.
