江戸時代から川口は鋳物のまちで、このように歴史にかかわるものも作っていたと知りました

川口駅東口から徒歩15 分、荒川大橋手前の住宅街のなかにある会社で展示されています。会社の一角ですので会社内には入らない様に注意してください。会社の休日も別の入り口から入って大砲を見学出来る様になっています。この会社の経営者の方の先祖の増田安次郎が嘉永5年(1852年)に津軽藩の依頼を受けて高島秋帆と協力して作り上げた大砲の復元品です。嘉永5年から5年間の間に、213門の41,323発の砲弾がここで製造され、各地に配備されました。そのうちの1門、長州藩のものは下関戦争の戦利品としてフランスはパリのアンバリッド軍事博物館に保存展示されています。鋳物の街として有名な川口で、幕末の歴史にかかわるものがつくられたことが驚きでした。

川口駅東口徒歩１５分。閑静な住宅街に突如現れるカノン砲。幕末に製造されていた大砲を増幸産業株式会社さんが復元したものです。

幕末の大砲

川口市の荒川に近いところにある工場の一角にありました。こちらの会社の創業者が幕末に鋳造した大砲を復元したものだそうです。幕末に大砲と砲弾を数多く製造したとのこと。川口で幕末の動乱び歴史を感じることができて驚きました。

ある会社の駐車場の一角に展示されております。
この大砲は、この会社の先代が作り上げた大砲の復元品たそうです。
5年間の間で41,323発の砲弾がここで製造されたそうで、鋳物の街として有名な川口らしいなと思いました。

　ここは、ＪＲ川口駅東口から徒歩約１５分ぐらいの「増幸産業」という企業の駐車場の内にあります。裏路地の目立たないところにある為、「増幸産業」を目指して来ると良いと思います。

復元された大砲

埼玉高速鉄道の川口元郷駅から歩いて8分ほど、増幸産業の敷地の片隅に復元されたこの大砲が展示されています。鋳物の街川口らしく、かつてたくさんの大砲が造られたという歴史のひとコマがこの場所で再現されているように見えました。

幕末に津軽藩より依頼され、当時鋳物の街であったため、鋳物師として有名だった人などにより作らた大砲をここに復元展示している。駅からも徒歩圏内です。
