こちらは、草加市役所（旧日光街道沿い）の角にあり、別名子育て地蔵。。
言い伝えでは、浅古家わきを流れていた堀が増水したときに上流から流されてきた地蔵を、浅古家先祖が救い祭ったところ、子宝に恵まれたそうです。
残念な事にあまり手入れされていませんでした。

【浅古家の地蔵堂】を鑑賞する際　【浅古家住宅】も合わせて　鑑賞され、可能であれば　24日に訪問されることをお薦めします

現在の草加市役所は　【地蔵堂】を除く　浅古半兵衛家（豪商、屋号；大和屋　呉服＆醸造業で発展）所有の土地を購入し　建設しています。この【地蔵堂】は　元々　浅古家が　江戸時代中期　用水に流れていた地蔵を拾い、【地蔵堂】として祀ったものと伝わるもので　市民に親しまれていたことから　この場にそのまま　残したそうです。　又　こちらを訪問するのであれば　【地蔵堂】の近くにある【浅古家住宅（添付　写真参照）】も合わせて鑑賞されることをお薦めします。　なお　12月を除く　毎月24日（地蔵の縁日）に扉を開くようなので日程を合わすことが可能であれば　24日に訪問すれば　雰囲気が異なるのかも知れません。

案内板すらありませんでした

草加駅から南に5分ほど、草加市役所敷地内（駐車場入口付近）に建つ小さな地蔵堂です。
地域で作成した観光マップにも記載されていましたが、驚くことに現地には案内板すらありませんでしたので、由緒も何もわからないままとなってしまいました。

草加駅🚉近くに在りあまり目立ちません。詳しくは知りませんけど、歴史のあるお地蔵様に”合掌”して帰りました。

小さな祠

地蔵堂といっても仰々しいものではなく、こじんまりとした古い祠が祭られているだけのものです。場所時には駅からも近い市役所の裏手にあるので、電車移動でも生きやすいですが、観光に遠方から来るほどは珍しいものではないかもしれません。

市役所の敷地内にあります

草加市役所の一角に、古い祠があります。市役所の敷地内にあるので、さぞや由来のあるものと思いきや逆で、もともと浅古家の土地を市が買い、祠は残したのだそうです。
市役所の近代的な建物とのコントラストが面白いです。なお、祠の開帳は毎月２４日のみです。
