レイクサイドにある、白を基調にしたシンプルですが、スタイリッシュな建物でした。水辺の生物や越谷についての観光パンフレットが置いてありましたが、基本的には催しの会場に使われているようです。
前面に湖（本当は池ですが）が見えるので、休憩かたがた立ち寄るのもいいでしょう。

水辺の街づくり館と中に入っている越谷市観光協会との区別がよくわからないが、窓口で「マンホールカードを下さい」といえばもらえる。一応どこから来たのかを聞かれた。それ以外は特に聞かれなかった。

「水辺のまちづくり」に関係していそうな展示物が少々あるだけで、ほとんどが越谷市観光協会に関係するものが展示されている。ここでマンホールカードが配布されているので興味ある方はもらったらいい。

文字通りレイクサイドなので、見晴らしはいいです。施設内にはもっと越谷の観光案内パンフやパネルがあるかと思っていましたが、意外と少なかったです。
ただ、ここでは無料で自転車の貸し出しをしてくれていて、観光客にはありがたいサービスでした。

中は、フローリングのイベント施設で、体操教室なんかしていたりします。
選挙の会場にもなります。
出入り口には、大相模調整池に生息する 野鳥や、植物の紹介、写真、埼玉県各地のイベント情報などが置いてあります。
BBQ施設があり、予約しておけば、手ぶらBBQができます。
隣のイオンやマルエツで買った食材の持ち込みも可能。
