A stunning beach and setting. Great for surfers and days out. A winding road takes you down to the sands with parking at the top on the roadside. There are a few bars and restaurants here, all good. O Paulo's on the cliff top at the end of the road is definitely worth a visit for the food, service and... More

A great lookout point shows the steep, narrow and winding road down to the beach. Be there at low tide if you want enough sand to sit on, high tide can leave you sitting on the boulders. Great place for surf lessons when the waves are small. Great place to see the pro's rip when the swell kicks in. In... More

The beach itself is wide and uncrowded, except when the tide is in which can leave a much narrower strip of sand. The road down is very steep and winding, not a problem if you're fairly fit. Popular with surfers and you can get into the water easily on a gently shelving beach.toilets are nearby. Very scenic when viewed from... More

Amazing views all around from the cliff top. The beach itself is down a steep hill (although I think you could drive to it if you were brave enough). From looking, the beach itself is more for surfers and not bathing. However the views are definitely worth a visit, and there is a lovely bar/restarant called O Paolo which serves... More

Don't miss this beach. The view is spectacular from there. There is also a fantastic restaurant O Paulo and I will write a separate review on this one. Drive all the way to that restaurant for an overview. You won't be disappointed. Went there for sunset and it was gorgeous. It is quite touristy and I'm sure it must be... More

This is a beautiful beach to spend the day. Restaurants near by and it is more protected from the wind than Monte Clerigo. Rent surf equiptment right at the beach.

The West coast of Portugal in the winter, storm or calm is a must. If you like walking or photography you are split for choice.

A small but beautiful beach. Worth parking at the top and walking down for the views, but hard on elderly knees. Surf looks good for the surfers.

Beautiful beach. Much liked by surfers Bit of a hike to get down but well worth it. No facilities on beach as such but a few cafes etc on top of cliff

Getting down to the beach, and back up, can be a problem whether you are driving or walking, we chose to walk this time, but the beach itself is lovely. A reasonably long stretch of beach which has some rocks to climb at one end. Surfers love this beach.
