We spent 2 hours walking around the exibit. Highly recommended, the work they did is impressive. It is a 30 minutes drive outside of Albufeira, very closed to the zoomarine.

Arrived at 7.30pm on a very hot day. The light was magical. That amber glow as the sun reluctantly concedes the day to fast approaching darkness. To begin we had the sand sculptures almost to ourselves. The whole family loved the expressions of famous people...More

Visited with 2 adults and kids aged 14 and 12 which was 35 Euro - very pricey for what is essentially an exhibition of art. Took us about an hour to walk round and whilst there are other activities, these are extra. On the plus...More

We drove by couple signs and decided to check it out....it's a great place to visit! I give a high five to all the artist who sculptured all these amazing sand art sculptures, very talented. We walked around the whole thing and it took about...More

Slightly overpriced for a family. The sculptures themselves are really good and this year the theme is music. It took us less than an hour to see everything. Weather was beautiful though.

We visited Sand City in Mid-July around 2030 with the view to see it both in natural light and with the coloured illumination later in the evening. The sculptures are very impressive and the site itself is immaculately maintained, which to me justifies the entrance...More

We followed TripAdvisor recommendations of things to do and this was a very good advise. Sand city made of dozens of sand sculptures. Great artworks, very welldone, very real. A nice 1 hour walk. Kids will love this place. Theme is renewed every year. Entrance...More

We spent a couple of hours here. Great sculptures with recognisable celebrities. Also brilliant art interpretations. They have a kids area under cover, where they can make their own sculpture (supervised) Easy parking opposite and a restaurant on site. Recommended

The sculptures are very interesting, but I thought the festival was rather overpriced. The price per adult was 10 euros!

We were last here in 2008 when they had a Hollywood theme. That was incredible. I was disappointed this time around for several reasons. The musical theme this year must have been very challenging for the sculptors. To accurately represent the features of so many...More
