Manning Gorge is an absolute must on any Gibb River Road trip. My partner and I stayed 2 nights at the Manning Gorge Campground which is located about 7km from the Gibb River Rd. Bookings and payment are made at the Mt Barnett Roadhouse before...More

The campground is basic, but had everything we needed. After a hot day it was good to plonk in the waterhole. Got up at dawn the next day to walk to Manning Gorge. A highlight of the Gibb River road. Nothing like wading through a...More

We stayed overnight at the campground - try and get a pitch on the edge and enjoy the wilderness - and made an early morning start to the Gorge. Fun crossing of the creek on a push-you-pull-me leaky boat, then a nice walk. Even early...More

Visited here with our tour group and had a very good time. There is lots of bird life and although the walk to the Gorge is hard the views and surrounding landscape are beautiful.

The Gorge is pretty but you are not told you have to cross a deep creek to commence the walk which is otherwise an easy stroll But the camp is a disgrace totally feral up to 600 people in peak season with only 3 toilets...More

For our kids this gorge was the highlight across the Gibb river Rd. Campground was spacious and allowed fires. Amenities were appreciated though not the main attraction. Had cold showers the two nights we were there! We still thought it well worth it!

Campground very basic, overpriced for what's on offer but a good enough place to stay to explore Manning Gorge - the walk is worth it on arrival at the magnificent falls and swimming holes. No wheelchair facilities at the campground, and only the first swimming...More

We had just eaten the most expensive scones in the universe at Ellen Brae $516.50. I might add that this does include the cost of a new tyre and the scones were a lovely treat. Then we found Manning Gorge and our spirits were lifted....More

We camped in the campground with our camping trailer and the sites were large, shaded and quite private. But the amenities were absolutely facility. This was a real shame because the gorge is beautiful and was the walk out to it (filled with wildflowers). And...More
