We went with an organized cruise ship tour and were pleasantly surprised with the boat ride - similar to English punts found in Oxford and Cambridge. The trip itself was about 45 minutes and took us on a loop towards the Tachibana Ohana Museum. If...More

It was a cold afternoon and we arrived for the river boat ride at about 4pm. Scenery was good and the punter was really entertaining. He tried his best to explain using his limited English! During the 70mins ride, he sang several songs which we...More

This riverboat cruise was far more scenic than the water towns outside of Shanghai, China. The town is charming too. There is a very small museum with some relics of the past. Unlike other travelers' reports, our boatman did NOT sing or tell stories.

A light breeze over the cool water was quiet refresshing on the hot day we were there. Look uit for a boatsman with a nice voice.

A full boat carry around 18-20 people. The punter will talk in Japanese along the way ( and sing as well). As a foreigner, just relax and enjoy this one hour ride.

30 minutes boat ride thru canal enjoying the scenery, houses and passing thru bridges, some so low that everyone had to bend down. The boat driver would sing to entertain the boat riders.
