Welcome to Fossils Galore, Fossils Galore is a non-profit education centre that started in 2002 as a website for round the world fossil and crystal enthusiasts, this then grew and became the centre it is today. The aim of the centre is to educate the young and old about life in the past, right back to the beginning of life. One of the first things you see as you walk into the centre is our museum where we put on themed displays of fossils and crystals from around the world, with all the information about the display around it so the public can learn about these displays in there own time and if they have any questions we always have a member of the team on hand to help answer these questions. On the second floor of the centre we have the pride of the team, our preparation laboratory where the public can see our team working on a range of bones from the Jurassic deep sea’s to Ice Age animals.

I visited the open day with my 6 year old son and we both had a great day. We learnt loads and got to see and touch lots of amazing fossils. Our highlight was the Palaeontologists letting us have a go at digging for real fossils. My son hasn't taken his white Palaeontologists jacket of since we've been home. He... More

Just went there today and I was blown away! I never knew it existed and it was brilliant! So much to look at and activities to do, and a guided tour with a very knowledgable and friendly guide (in an excellent dinosaur jumper-clearly loves his work) just for me and my dad! Costs no money and he was still telling... More

🎅🏻💙Santa was amazing best one I have ever seen! Spent time talking to my boy, was in there for 30 mins. Grotto was decorated beautifully. And was in aid of Sue Ryder. Visted saturday before christmas. Looks like a tiny little shop stuck at the end of March Town. But what a delightful visit. My grandson giggled and laughed in the "snow" and sat and talked with santa for what seemed ages. The whole experience was magical for my grandson who truely believed he had seen the real santa. Such great value... More

This place looks like a little shop in a local high street, but once you get in, it is so much more. We went to visit Santa (who was fantastic), but will definitely be going again possibly to pan for gold or hunt our own fossils. Staff are great and the tea shop actually sells nice tea. in a pot....
