Welcome to Fossils Galore, Fossils Galore is a non-profit education centre that started in 2002 as a website for round the world fossil and crystal enthusiasts, this then grew and became the centre it is today. The aim of the centre is to educate the young and old about life in the past, right back to the beginning of life. One of the first things you see as you walk into the centre is our museum where we put on themed displays of fossils and crystals from around the world, with all the information about the display around it so the public can learn about these displays in there own time and if they have any questions we always have a member of the team on hand to help answer these questions. On the second floor of the centre we have the pride of the team, our preparation laboratory where the public can see our team working on a range of bones from the Jurassic deep sea’s to Ice Age animals.

Visted saturday before christmas. Looks like a tiny little shop stuck at the end of March Town. But what a delightful visit. My grandson giggled and laughed in the "snow" and sat and talked with santa for what seemed ages. The whole experience was magical for my grandson who truely believed he had seen the real santa. Such great value... More

The staff are very helpful. You can get a cuppa tea as well as interesting conversation about fossils.

This place looks like a little shop in a local high street, but once you get in, it is so much more. We went to visit Santa (who was fantastic), but will definitely be going again possibly to pan for gold or hunt our own fossils. Staff are great and the tea shop actually sells nice tea. in a pot.... I spent over half an hour in the gift shop, browsing the rocks and fossils. The staff were very helpful to myself and other people who came in. I will definitely be returning to Fossils Galore.

Informative and educational for kids. Enjoyable experience would definitely recommend, especially in summer holidays. The activities are much more exciting outside

We had an incredible day today, my daughter is 5 in a couple of weeks and I had no idea what to expect. We did 4 activities for £9 and it was well worth the money and daughter has not stopped talking about it all day, she's so proud of her artifacts and fossils that she got to bring home.... More

A very informative trip to Kings Dyke with a group of home educated children. I think this was better value for money than a day out at a theme park for my kids and they thoroughly enjoyed finding fossil after fossil. The people in charge were very helpful and friendly and answered all questions and made sure even the shy... More
