My wife and I enjoyed our day at Queens Hall for this event organised by Lara Herde. It was lovely to meet up with Malcolm Cawley who produced a feature for local radio as BB Skone!

Very disappointed with this place. Seems a bit chaotic, staff uninterested, tables left uncleared, generally grubby. Coffee mediocre. Will not be returning.

Hi m0untain. Thanks for your review. I'm sorry you had an unpleaseant experience. We assume from your feedback that you visited the cafe that's on the premises?. They are a seperate business to the hall but we will pass on your feedback to the owner of Cafe owner. We hope you'd return in future. The Queens Hall itself is a charity and we work hard to try and provide the best we can for the community with a small but dedicated band of volunteers.

Hi Danerys3 Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. I'm awfully sorry about the condition of the toilets that you faced on your visit to the Queens Hall. We have also passed on your comments regarding bar staff to the bar company and discussed these issues at trustee meetings. We've also brought in new cleaning rotas for the toilets to ensure better cleaning practices.

Having been coming for a number of years now, up until the last year, things have been wonderful. Obviously, the performing acts have been superb and so was management. But recently, the new management appears to be a lot less organised and/or interested in customer service and satisfaction. Last year, we arranged to have a table and chairs due to one of us having a disability. Got there and the table and chairs were not set up - and we appeared to "harrass" the staff in charge who made us feel like we were a nuisance. We were told to find our own table and chairs. This year, on attempting to email (3 times now) and 2 phone calls (ignored), to ask if we can have a table and chairs - totally ignored! Not one acknowledgement of our attempts to make these arrangements and to book tickets for the show we want to see. It is such a shame that a venue that has been successful and vibrant for so many years is suddently being ruined by staff who are obviously *just not interested*. Shame on them!

Hi Sistermoon1963 I'm sorry about your poor experience at the Queens Hall with regards your table and chair requests. We do always strive to ensure that messages from the office are passed onto the volunteers working events and I'm sorry this didn't happen on this occasion. We have since improved our lines of communication to events and have new office staff. I hope that if you return in future, we can ensure you have another enjoyable visit as you have done in the past.
