Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

After we disembarked from the ferry, we took a very long walk along the riverfront. Lots of graffiti, and some cafes along the way. Lots of good views of Lisbon. People out walking.

This lighthouse occupies a strategic and scenic spot, overlooking the river, with Lisbon clearly visible on the other side...located right next to the ferry terminal

Our transport ticket included use of the Cacilhas ferry so we decided to take the return trip over the water; we were very pleased that we did. The ferry itself is rather utilitarian - rather than being like a vessel used for a boat trip - which was fine. When arriving at Cacilhas there are a small number of cafes near to the ferry terminal and if you walk to the right as you leave the terminal there is a lovely walk along the water. The walk is lined with fascinating but unused buildings, mostly covered in street art and there are great views back to Lisbon, of the wonderful bridge and of the statue of Christ. If you keep walking you come to two cafe/restaurants overlooking the water. Sadly, when we arrived they were just changing to dinner service so we weren't able to just have a drink and staff at the first one weren't over friendly or helpful but the location is great. We really enjoyed exploring this area and would recommend it.

Attention, signs only in Portuguese. There is no sign of the end of parking reserved for tourist activities and there is no notice of removal, it still seems like ticketed parking. There is a gang organization with a "post" stakeout that contacts a private company for removal and fine. Seen from the terrace bar taking away a van with a French license plate. Instead for the local people they close their eyes and let them park. The village is horrible and seems like a fake place to rob tourists. The view from the lighthouse towards Lisbon is worth it, but you can see little. The ferry to get from Lisbon costs a lot (€20) however there is the external metro and buses which are cheaper.

Pretty pretty pretty. A cozy and humble little village full of charm. Getting there is super accessible from the Cais Do Sodré river terminal and totally worth going. There is a very large boat you can visit that was used in the 18th century (I think), and the village, the sea and the view itself has its own vibe. I simply loved it!
