Dotonbori to Very Local: A Small Group, All-Inclusive, Authentic Evening

Get your Dotonbori fix in, but then leave it all behind as we venture into more local, then MUCH more local neighborhoods and their restaurants across not one, but two different parts of Osaka. "Tachinomiya," or standing-bar restaurants in the tapas style, tee us up a cavalcade of small plates and drinks that can only be described as splendiferous, spell checks be damned. Between these tasty stops, explore local culture at night with an entertaining native (or honestly equivalent) speaker at your side. And with groups limited to six or less, you can be assured of personal attention. This also allows us to patronize smaller, truly local restaurants, unlike the big corporate restaurants some of those other guys frequent, where it seems like everything is fried and mildly disappointing.

Come join a tour that's not just about great food and drink, but about connecting you with genuine local culture and making you LOVE Osaka as much as we do. Your foodie night adventure awaits!

This is not a destination shopping mall. While they do have some branded tenants, most of the complex are smaller stores. The anchor tenant is AL Plaza, which has a grocery store on the first floor. COOP food store is the other major supermarket. Most of the customers are local folks who are looking for their kids to play and to eat a bit of food. No train station nearby, you either walk or take a car. Do not recommend as a tourist destination. Nothing there that would be really attractive to tourists.
