Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This building was sighted on the walk to the Oishi Shrine and believed to be the remains of the home of Oishi Kuranosuke, the head of the Asano (Ako) Estate and responsible for running the daily business of the castle and boss of the samurai. Back then , the various regional lords (Asano) were required to visit Edo (Tokyo) every year or so and Asano in 1701 on one such visit took umbrage and attempted to kill Lord Kira in the Edo Castle and for his trouble had to commit Seppuku, leaving Oishi in charge and one of the 47 Ronin or leaderless samurai. It took them a year or so and they finally took revenge against Kira and lopped off his head one day in Tokyo but they too had to committ seppuku, and hence the legend of the 47 Samurai, their graves along with Asano in the Senagakuji Temple in Tokyo. The residence was interesting and well preserved amd one of many interesting places in Ako. There was no English signage.

This is the said residence of Oishi Kuranosku that led the famous raid in Edo. It is a beautiful period house with a samurai type garden attached, it is part of the museum of the shrine.
