I would really recommend this museum to visitors who are perhaps not manga fans but are interested in learning more about this great Japanese indigenous art form, since you can get round it in under an hour without being crammed with information. Combined with a...More

After ten minutes walk from Takaraduka Station, the end of Hankyu Takaraduka Railway Line, we can find a colorful tower of The Osamu Tezuka Manga Museum. A big figure of Phoenix, one of the manga characters created by Tezuka, welcomes us. We also find many...More

If you want to see Astroboy and Ultraman you have to pay 700¥ for it. Its a 1500 steps walk from the train station. They have free stamps where you can put on a pad as souvenir.

Enjoyed this place with so much fun animation history dedicated to Osamu Tezuka. I'm glad I got to go with a group of locals who helped with translation!

If you are very fond of manga, the museum is worth a detour, otherwise not. Especially harms the confrontation with the Ghibli Museum in Mitaka. Anyway, it is at walking distance from Takarazuka railways stations (both JR and Kintetsu).

about an hour away from the centre of tokyo, but worth the trip - a great tribute to the man that created astro boy and kimba the white lion. Most things were in japanese, but it really didn't matter, the pictures were enough :)

This is a great little museum celebrating the work of Osamu Tezuka and is just outside Osaka. This is spread over 2 floors and while it is in Japanese lover of Astro Boy will not really care.
