Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We came here for a good hike and was told that the park was closed. That didn’t really matter as we didn’t plan for visiting the theme park anyways. But when we got off the cable car we found that the park grounds were still opened despite the facilities were closed. Out of curiosity we went into the park and got panoramic views of Osaka and Nara from several viewpoints.

I can't understand any Japanese so I assume this amusement park opens in the summer only. Not sure though. Went to this park anyway since the cable car is covered by the Kansai Thru Pass, so why not.
It's the beginning of autumn when I went in October and it rained before so it was very misty with lots of icy breeze.
The entire amusement park closed but you can walk around. There's a shop/kennel near the entrance has this Japanese girl with 4-6 cats inside.. weird.
Empty merry-go-rounds and hanging chairs swaying in the wind adding up to the creep factor. Given a killer clown and it'll be a perfect horror movie.
Nice view though.

Chanced upon the place by accident and it was a gem.
The theme park rides are not exhilarating and are really only suitable for younger kids. However, since the park is located on the peak on Mt Ikoma and the premises are free to enter the place itself offers a really good view of the sunset and night view of Osaka. I think that the view alone might be worth the trip up.

Ikoma cable is Japan's first commercial cable car that opened in 1918. It is a foot to the hozan-ji Temple of trading business and the Amusement Park on Ikoma-yama. The vehicle is active with the dog's bull wearing a conductor hat and Mike of a three-tiered cat peering at the scenery with binoculars.

This is an old style Japanese Amusement park. it is designed for smaller children and the childlike at heart. They have done a nice job over the last few years in renovating the park. Nice place to take kids of all ages and the view is spectacular.
