Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Located at the south edge of Shikoku, view is stunning. We had a good walk around the area and the place was good for taking pictures.

Walk around the beach and follow the path to reach the Cape. There is also a Tortoise Stone when walking along the path.

recommended sunset view, simply breathtaking, also there another pothole caves worth visiting, but it was closed for maintenance while we were there in Nov 2019, so pay attention and check prior to your trip.

You can easily get to the Cape by ordinary bus from Nakamura station. The bus goes nearly all the way to the lighthouse and the lovely strolling tracks thereabouts allowing you to enjoy the sights and sounds of this spectacular coastline. There's also one of the pilgrimage temples right where the
bus stops. The bus ride itself offers interesting views of rice paddies, small towns nestled in valleys, and seascapes. It is just a local bus,so it takes about 2 hours,to get there and costs 1900 yen one way. We managed to fit in a side trip to the John Mung museum as well by getting off the bus about half way, in Shimizu at the Plaza Pal stop, and getting a taxi out and back for 1050 each way. Admittedly we were blessed with perfect spring weather.

We stayed two days in this area. We recommend the usual sites (observation deck, lighthouse, short walks) but also walk back to the harbour and nature walks.

We visited Tatsukushi Coast, stopped at a local restaurant for lunch and took route 27, an easy road, to reach Cape Ashizuri.
There was a Tourist Information Centre, and so we took a map of the place and started our walk to the Lighthouse.
We didn't have time to do all the attractions so we decided to take the trail to Hakusan Domon.
Both attractions are nothing spectacular. It's a great easy drive to this place for a day outing.
I rate this as excellent due to the shaded and pleasant walking trails in between. More time, I believe, is needed to explore these paths or attractions at the most southern tip of Shikoku.

Ashizuri Cape is a looong way from anywhere, but the views from the lookout here are incredible. Well worth the effort!

Wonderful rugged quiet coast full of inlets and sea turtles. A moody marvellous seascape. Highly recommended.

One of the best views I've ever experienced. Looking out over that massive expanse of ocean made me feel at peace with the world. It can be incredibly windy so keep an eye on your phone. Looking down at the crystal blue water crashing over the rocks was amazing. There are lots of walking paths as well.
