入山料300円が必要です。でも、その価値は充分にあると思います。駐車場が道を隔てた前側にあり結構な広さです。門をくぐると右手に山に入る紅葉のアーケードがあり、紅葉シーズンには非常に綺麗な参道になる事でしょうね。それから奥には三重塔や108段ある石段の上にも本殿や弁財天があり、私が訪れた時には枯れ気味でしたが、弘法の滝があり、見所満載です。訪れて損はない自然のパワーを受け取れる場所だと思います。

東舞鶴駅から少し遠いですが、11月の紅葉の時期はいいですよ。毎年ライトアップもされるのでおすすめです。

宝物殿は、事前予約とのことで、前日に予約させていただきました。お寺さんの諸仏説明の後、じっくり見仏する時間をいただけます。何と言っても、深沙大将は最高です。
同じ快慶作高野山霊宝館のものと見比べても面白いです。
境内の三重塔や本殿も風情があり、俗世を忘れさせてくれます。

寺伝では創建は天長６年（８２９年）高岳親王が高野山から弁財天を勧請し、創建したといわれている。御本尊は波切不動明王で真言蜜教の古刹です。江戸時代には細川藤孝が植樹した楓が秋に色づき、紅葉の名所として多くの人が参拝に訪れるそうです。また、快慶作の深沙大将立像は、必見です。

弘法大師の弟子により開山されたお寺で、入山志納箱に一人300円を入れる仕組みです。
金剛院には重文指定の本堂、三重塔、雲山閣はじめ、阿弥陀如来、増長天、多聞天、金剛力士など多くの文化財があるお寺です。
モミジのトンネルを過ぎると趣きある三重塔が現れ、ここから徐々に急になる階段を上ると、本堂と清水寺を思わせるような雲山閣があり、奥には「弘法の滝」など、見所が多いお寺でした。

たびたび訪れています。その日もふらりと立ち寄りました。
京都府北部随一の紅葉の名所として有名ですが、歴史は古く、貴重な文化財も多く存在します。
偶数月の28日には護摩焚きが本堂で行われ、ご本尊の波切不動明王の御利益を受けることができます。

めずらしい三重塔があり、紅葉の時期はその塔と紅葉がとても絵になります。
境内は広く、ちょっとした山道も歩いて回れます。

紅葉の名所として有名な金剛院ですが、毎年２月の節分には『星まつり』という、秘仏・波きり不動明王を開帳し、護摩炊きを行う法要が行われます。
参加しましたが、なかなか勇壮な法要でした。

東舞鶴の市街地を出て１０分程国道２７号を車で走り、道路標識に従って、鹿原地区の信号を右折し細い道を暫く走ると金剛院に着く。古びた三重の塔がある。境内は比較的広く、紅葉はかなり綺麗。一度訪れてみる価値はあると思います。

舞鶴でこんあに閑静なお寺があるとは思いませんでした。真言宗。感動的な階段、そして三重塔。見事な彫り、秋は紅葉がいいでしょう。でも冬の寒さの中のたたずまいもよかった
