There are many temples with names all over Japan, but this is probably the only place (I don't know, because I didn't look it up) where "matsu no odora" and "no" are added in this kanji. It was such a miraculous place to be able to take a big bus down a ridiculously narrow mountain path and make the journey safely. I'm sorry to say that I went to the temple, but (I can't help it) I can't see anything in the wonderful main hall of my push, which seems to be under repair for another two years, but maybe there's life for us until it's finished? If you can't see the artistic roof of the main hall, it's just an old temple. Nio-san of the Niomon Gate is also "on business" and neither of them are here ... I wonder why he's here ... Kannon-san has been temporarily evacuated to the Daishido and is moving out of the main hall. The temple has a parking lot for buses and other services, and the main hall is almost flat, but the sutra hall and restrooms are located slightly down the steep stone steps in the precincts, you have to go down and up to get to the sutra stamp or restroom, and what's more, there are no sutra halls or vending machines anywhere in the precincts of the temple this year, in a sense, for small groups like Kosei-datsu whose average age is light and over 65, it's a "Nansho-ji" temple, along with Shifuku-ji and Kannon-ji in Saigoku. It seems that there is only one National Treasure, the "Portrait of Fugen Enmei on silk", but naturally nothing is visible. I wonder if it's in the treasure house? I couldn't bring myself to go into the Treasure House because of the heat, the fatigue and the thirst (it's not always open for about two months in spring and autumn) ... There's a fee here, the parking is expensive for a fee, only the entrance fee seems to be free ... but if you print a sutra it's a decent expense. The area has deep snow, and it seems impossible to drive up the approach without a tire chain in winter. Although this is located in Maizuru City, Kyoto Prefecture, the trail must be climbed from where it once left the Fukui Prefecture side.
