The temple is in the old part of Takahashi and is well preserved. The inside of the temple is well done, but the garden is very nice. It is a dry garden designed by the "legendary" Enshu Korbori.

There are two adjoining temples located about 1/2 K west of the train station. Like many Zen temples in the pre-Tokugawa era they served a dual function as an outer line of defense for the daimyo's residence and the mountain top castle at Bicchu Matsuyama. Presently they are religious institutions only and while not extra special as Zen sect temples... More

A nice bell, interesting windows, but not that exciting. If you are in town, it's very close to the few other things to see in town.
