I came here in mid-March and it was pretty empty. Seemed like there was quite a bit of work going on - renovations, seasonal maintenance. The beach seemed nice with designated and protected swimming areas. Facilities are quite dated and in need of a makeover....More

We stayed in Nanjo area, and while this beach is calm and pretty and fine for taking a walk, the designated swimming area is tiny, really just for small children. Facilities are also pretty dated.

Costs 100 yen, besides that, this is an amazing beach!!! no waves and great for kids and adults! they have their own parking lot, they have a no swimming season too :(

They charge to park here, about 500 yen, it has a small petting zoo, netted beach, places to shower & they place good music via sat radio

At Azama Sunsun Beach, you are only allowed to swim in the protected buoy area, which is relatively small and very shallow. Really just for little children. Nearby Mibaru beach is open without buoys, so would go there... More

I would recomend renting a car with navi, it's the best option ever! And there are some pretty cheap deals around!
