Dedicated to ramen noodle cups, the museum showcases the mind-boggling number of instant ramen flavor variations that have come out over the years and a reproduction of the hut where Momofuku Ando first created them.

There's only so much you can expand on the history of instant noodles, so the museum part wasn't that big. The most popular attraction was to decorate and compose your own cup noodle, which you' then have to carry the rest of the day in an inflatable bag.

Took the trip out here to visit the museum whilst staying in Osaka. Lots of school groups with young children but lots of fun!

the museum is small and all in japanese, but the display tunnel of instant noodles was the highlight. another major draw is the instant ramen factory, where you can design your own cup noodle and customise the ingredients inside (choose any 4) for only 300 yen. watching the whole process from just the empty cup to the final packaging was... 7/13 - Last day in Kansai region, we left early in the morning to visit Ikeda, our destination is the famous Instant Ramen Museum (Japanese called it Momokufu Andon Museum). Ikeda is probably 30 mins away from our hotel (transit at Umeda Hankyu Station) using Hankyu Rail. The museum is about 20 mins by foot. The museum contains the entire... More

If you want to go here, you really have to go off the course as this is a separate line outside the JR lines. We had to transfer to Umeda Station to Hankyu line. We walked for about 10 minutes to go there. You'll be able to see how it all started. You can create your own cup noodles (drawing... More

This place is the best! So much fun! And I learned about the actually interesting history of the creation of Instant Ramen Noodles (Cup A Noodles). Upon entering, I was greeted (in English) and oriented: the history and facts, attractively displayed, the ~ 13 min cartoon telling the history via free (but fully refundable deposit) English language head set. This... More

There was not much to see or do here except customize your own bowl of cup noodles. The place was packed when we visited on a weekday but the flow was smooth and quick and we enjoyed our visit nevertheless. The customized cup noodles also had more ingredients than the pre-packed supermarket ones, considering that each customized cup cost 300yen.

What a fun place especially for ramen (noodle) lovers which my whole family are. While tag as a museum, there isn't any museum pieces to look at. Nevertheless the founder story was interesting and overall it is more of a fun place to visit. Highlight is the option to package your own cup noodle with your own selection of flavors... More

For 300 yen per cup noodle, this place is amazing! We went on a Sunday and there were lots of people. However, we still managed to get a seat to decorate our cup noodles and got creative with the permanent markers. We then selected our ingredients afterwards and had it all shrink wrapped to take home. We took about an... More
