This place is the best at the sunset. The sun sets to the sea over the big rock, Benten island, which has a small shrine. Probably not the best for swimming here. Enjoy the romantic and sacred evening scenery.

The beach itself is kind of dirty. There are definitely better beaches along the coast. But it's worth stopping by in a car along the way to somewhere else, the shrine is nice.

this is the beach where all the gods arrive when they go to Izumo Shrine each year. Come before going to the Izumo Shrine to get some sand to being to the shrine! The view of the sea is very nice!

This site is important for Japanese myth lore, but if you know nothing of it I don't think it's worth the extra effort to visit. We enjoyed it and took the opportunity to have rice balls at the beach, but don't worry about missing out...More

Took the grandkids here to fly kites. We did a lot of beach combing. Soft sand, clear water, and lots of sea shells. We had the beach nearly to ourselves. The locals were all at the shrine across the street.

弁天島に夕日がきれいに見えます。 さらさらの白浜。駐車場は目の前。 出雲大社に行く前に是非。 砂を持って出雲大社に行くと御砂と取りかえてもらえます。 If you decide to go izumo taisha, please go this beach before it.you take some sand to taisha and they will change it to clear sand which has a power of amulet. you throw it to your garden.

We arrived at our inn directly across from the beach so strolled down there to watch the sunset. They were a few locals walking dogs and a few tourists enjoying the beautiful views as the sun went down.

This is my favorite place of Izumo... There is this rock with a little shrine on its top. Izumo is known as the place where the gods from all over Japan go in October. They arrive at Inasa Beach and then, go to Izumo Shrine....More
