The Hinomisaki Shrine is somewhat hidden and not as touristy. I first saw this shrine while driving to the lighthouse. It was beneath the road near the coast surrounded by nature. Once I saw this, I knew I had to visit. I walked here from the lighthouse and the shrine was absolutely beautiful! I loved the red color amongst the green trees, very photogenic. If you are in Izumo, definitely make the effort to visit this shrine and the surrounding area.

You can see the red shrine from the main road. The shrine is below the road surrounded by greenery.

The sight is off the main road close to the bay, sea rocks, and fisherman's places.

The shrine is a set of relatively small sacred structures.

Peaceful atmosphere.

It's not a big shrine near the seaside, worth going in when you pass by to see the lighthouse (around 5~10 min walk).
