Quality horse riding tours on the longest beach in Ecuador or in the stunning tropical forests that surround the area where, with luck, it is possible to spot monkey and a wide range of wildlife. Our horses are well bred, happy and calm and you can have the experience of a lifetime galloping along the sand.

2 couples we went for the afternoon, what a great experience. Super friendly owner she was excellent. The horses were well behaved and we had a super afternoon. Nice ride through the countryside down to the beach and a great expanse of beach to ride.
wonderful, highly recommend it, next time we go will be the craft brewery tour !!

We spent an excellent three hours riding to the beach and back. Two of our three participants had never rode before so our guide Miguel took it very slow and easy for us. An extremely memorable day! Thank you Zia, Graeme, and Miguel.

Four of us really enjoyed a special time. Rode the super-well-behaved horses to the beach and back. Miguel was very attentive without being intrusive. My husband, virtually first time rider, already wants to repeat. Of course, having a Brit in charge of a stables is great! So well organized, we felt completely comfortable. As we rode on to the beach, my friend said “not you normal day at the office”.

Thank you for mentioning Miguel's attentiveness--we really do work hard to make sure our guests feel like they're in good hands with us. It sounds like he did a great job of showing off his skills as a guide while also making sure that everyone was comfortable enough to enjoy themselves. My friend and I booked this tour at the end of our 2 week holiday in Ecuador. She rode horses all throughout her childhood and I have been on a horse probably 10 times or less in my life. The booking process was simple, the prices very reasonable, and the questionnaire we completed to make sure we had a suitable horse was thoughtful and appropriate. Zia came to pick us up in Canoa at our beachside hotel and dropped us back off when it was over. Our tour was about 4 hours total, we road through the coastal forest to the Beerkingo brewery where we were given a tour of the microbrewery (the owners were lovely), tasted their beers, and then rode back to the pickup point. I thoroughly enjoyed this tour because I was able to get outside of the small town of Canoa and see some more of the countryside. I highly recommend this unique experience.

Amazing experience with everyone at Rancho San Antonio. The horses are beautiful and awesome to ride. I did some volunteering work for a month that I would highly recommend if you like horses and are good at ridding them. I was all day helping, cleaning and working with them. I went horse back riding on the beach, in the jungle, to a beer bar that is so awesome!!! Everything is great there, If you want to have a great horse back riding tour in Canoa, go find Zia and her horses to have the best experience.

I went to Ecuador for my honey moon and spent 4 days in Canoa, with Graeme & Zia who run Cabalgatas Canoa. Riding their lovely horses at the beach it's just amazing! And that's not all, we spent a few days enjoying the area, the beach and wildlife and mingling with the locals. We had great local food and ice creams, cocktails at the beach, visited a local brewery and had the best home made pizza at Graeme & Zia's Rancho on our last night. Top experience to finish off our honey moon! ☆☆☆☆☆

I did the whole day trip starting on the beach then heading up into the forest to the brewery and back down to their ranch. Zia and Graeme are fantastic people who take very good care of their animals. I highly recommend booking with them. Miguel my guide was very patient with my lack of experience on a horse and helped me feel very comfortable.

Zia and Graeme are wonderful folks who care for loads of animals. My boyfriend and I did the whole day trip starting out in the forest, stopped at the brewery for a few pints of delicious beer and lunch then went to the beach and galloped our hearts out. After we had a bbq at their place and got to visit with their doggos and piggies. They know all the dogs in canoa. They rescue tons of them, provide necessary treatment, and rehome them. They are angels and the animals in Ecuador would be worse off if it weren't for them. If you love animals, great conversation, great cooking, and a wild horseback riding adventure, book your trip with Graeme and Zia. (PS they are also f***ing hilarious and their dog Pepsi is a gem)

Horseback riding with Cabalgatas Canoa was an amazing experience. I went with my girlfriend and we chose a full day ride including a visit at the local craft brewery hidden in the forest and a BBQ in the evening at their property. Beer and food was all included. The owners are AMAZING people that love their animals and are super friendly. The BBQ was specially delicious, the craft beer too. The landscape is beautiful and galloping on the beach is a fantastic experience. Totally recommend it!
